At Democratic Mosaic 2026, we presented SOLACE-CEE, a project that puts integrated care and support for vulnerable communities at the center of its work.
This year’s festival brought together dozens of civil society organizations, activists, volunteers and citizens, but it also showed something even more important – that civil society makes sense when different sectors and people find a common language and work together. The official opening was attended by Traycho Traykov, Mayor of Sredets Neighborhood, together with representatives of the organizers and international partners of the initiative. The festival is held with the support of the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Program and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
It is in such an environment that we presented SOLACE-CEE – our approach to integrated care and support for children and families living in precarious housing conditions.
We shared how the project creates opportunities for access to health and social services, support for early childhood development and an environment in which different forms of assistance can work together.
SOLACE-CEE shows that sustainable solutions start with partnership – between professionals, organizations, institutions and the people for whom these solutions are intended.
For us, participation in “Democratic Mosaic” was an opportunity not only to tell about our work, but also to be part of a space where ideas, experience and people with a desire to change the environment around us meet. We thank Democratic Mosaic 2026 for providing space for these meetings – and for the opportunity for SOLACE-CEE to be part of the conversation.
